Love the lamp — striking black mount and arm, with a perfect globe covering.

However, it does not have full range of motion on its hinges. It can only go to maximum 180 degrees. This restricts the positions you can choose, and the reading light angle. I’m also concerned about the sturdiness of the joints — they are not massively robust, so I will minimise the amount of time I move it as I assume this will affect the longevity of the lamp.

Our electrician put in a toggle switch so I could switch the lamp on and off from the base. It looks fab and I’m so pleased to have this feature.

Consider these points when choosing where to mount it on the wall.

You’d expected for this price point, to get something that looks better and it’s much better quality than IK*EA. Unfortunately, even though the lamp is everything I was looking for, the materials seem to be of a very low quality. The “head” of the lamp touched the wall when I was taking it out of the box (it was very well packed, worth noting). You can see in the pictures how I attempted to cover it badly with one of my son’s markers, as I didn’t want to go through the trouble of sending it back (yes, I’m impatient)(and yes, I’ve been looking for a good looking wall lamp for longer than I care to admit). Putting it up was easy, and looks great, but to be completely honest I’m not sure it’ll withstand the test of time, as the pivot points are quite stiff, and I can see it either falling on my head at night or coming off the wall completely due to the unavoidable use of a wall reading lamps.
In short, it looks the part, yes, but from afar. I’m annoyed to admit it, but up close looks cheap. I’d even suggest wearing a pair of gloves while unboxing and handling it.

Looks amazing as a bedside light. Really great for reading etc
